Getting Started with LLM Scan

LLM Scan Team · March 1, 2024

Introduction

LLM Scan checks whether AI answer engines can crawl, parse, and understand your public website. It focuses on the technical signals that shape AI visibility: crawlability, robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemaps, semantic HTML, structured data, Markdown support, and content usage signals.

Prerequisites

Before starting a scan, make sure you have:

  • A public website URL
  • Access to update your robots.txt, sitemap, metadata, or templates
  • A few minutes to review the generated recommendations

  • Running a Scan

    Open the scanner, paste your homepage URL, and submit it. LLM Scan follows redirects, validates the host, and runs the checks in parallel.

    Reading the Report

    Use the overall score to prioritize the work, then review each failed signal. Every finding explains what was detected, why it matters for AI systems, and what to change.

    Next Steps

    After applying fixes, run the scan again and share the public report with your team.

    // One last check

    Scan your site before your customers' agents do.
