AI visibility tracking: questions and answers
- What does AI visibility tracking measure?
- Every week, for each prompt and assistant you track, LLM Scan records whether your brand is mentioned, at what position, which URLs are cited and which competitors appear. For each tracked keyword it records your Google position and whether the AI Overview cites you. If an assistant fails to answer, that prompt is marked as no data, never as zero visibility.

- Do I have to write the prompts myself?
- No. When you add your website we start you with a set of brand questions. You can edit them and add the category, comparison and buying questions your customers ask.
- Which AI assistants can I track?
- ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, plus Google AI Overviews through keyword tracking. Starter tracks 1 assistant; Pro and Agency track ChatGPT and Perplexity. Claude and Gemini tracking require Enterprise.
- Does tracking guarantee better AI rankings or citations?
- No. LLM Scan measures sampled AI answers and Google results and tells you what to fix. AI assistants change their answers, so we cannot guarantee rankings, mentions, citations or traffic.
